Coastal FCU Prepares for ICU Day
Coastal Federal Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C., is already flying the International Credit Union Day flag in advance of next Thursday's celebration.
Here’s what the credit union has in store for members on International Credit Union Day, Oct. 18:
►Penny overdrafts. “We understand that our members may occasionally make a small error when balancing their checking account. Members have told us that a small mistake, or one they fix quickly, shouldn't result in a big penalty. That’s why we offer a special Overdraft Forgiveness program that charges just one penny for small overdrafts and overdrafts that are corrected the same day.”
►Share the Love.Coastal Federal routinely supports charitable organizations that help enrich the lives of our members and the community. This year, the credit union is also supporting Habitat for Humanity through its Share the Love Campaign.
►For each “like” or follow we get on Facebook and Twitter, we’re donating $5 to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County to help build a home for a local family. Members can also support the Share the Love Campaign by visiting the online gift shop or participating in the in-branch raffle on Oct. 18.
►VIP Program. In January, Coastal Federal launched a new VIP Program to reward members who have their primary checking account here. Additionally, VIP members who also have two or more core loan types and/or two or more core deposit types were eligible to share in the $1.5 million the credit union paid out in the form of loan rebate dividends and deposit bonus dividends.
►Mobile Banking. Members are busy and always on the go. Mobile banking allows members to check balances, make transfers, pay bills and even deposit checks, from the convenience of their mobile phones.
►7-7/7 teller hours. All Coastal Federal branches have teller hours from 7 a.m. to 7p.m., seven days a week.
