Money Mission’s online gaming platform is more than a virtual learning tool to teach teens financial concepts. It’s a catalyst for collaboration between credit unions and community partners.

For example, a Milwaukee Public Schools teacher started an initiative that led to three schools considering Money Mission through local credit unions’ websites.

The expansion continues as other schools discuss full integration.

Don Cohen’s vision is for all Milwaukee Public Schools high-school seniors to receive a Money Mission Certificate of Achievement as they receive their diplomas at graduation. Cohen is vice president of community development and lending at $2 billion asset Landmark Credit Union in New Berlin, Wis.
