Helping Kids: It’s in the ‘Jeans’

CUs continue to be the largest corporate sponsor of Miracle Jeans Day.

June 1, 2013

Miracle Jeans Day, Sept. 18, is just around the corner— and your credit union can join the ranks of those donning denim to make a difference in children’s lives.

The concept is simple: Employees who want to wear jeans to work donate $5 to the CMN Hospital that serves their communities.

The credit union movement raised more than $300,000 last year for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals during this Credit Unions for Kids event. Almost 600 credit unions from 47 states participated, as did CUNA and many state leagues and business partners.

You can support Credit Unions for Kids in other ways, too. Theme days such as Miracle Hat Day and Miracle Flip-Flop Day were popular alternatives in 2012.

Credit unions continue to be the largest corporate sponsor of Miracle Jeans Day, bringing in about one third of the funds raised.
