ST. PAUL, Minn. (5/8/15)--With its mission to provide resources to both credit unions and communities to help them prosper and thrive, the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation (MnCUF) recently awarded $14,500 in grants geared to help credit unions in the state establish or build out financial education programs.
Four credit unions received grant funding for programs ranging from youth financial education initiatives to an effort to train the staff of a local organization so they can, in turn, teach financial education to community members.
“The foundation board was very impressed with the applications we received this spring,” said Dave Larson, foundation chair. “Minnesota credit unions are working on many innovative financial education initiatives, and the foundation is proud to support projects like these, which will help credit union members and communities thrive.”
