BIRMINGHAM, Ala., and TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (5/22/15)--The League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) has unveiled a new website optimized for the age of mobile delivery and social media.
The website has a modern design, which includes mobile optimization so the entire space of the user’s monitor, smartphone or tablet screen is utilized. Pages feature “accordion” icons so visitors can click through to the most relevant content. The website also include original multimedia videos throughout.
The framework of the website was licensed through the Northwest Credit Union Association.
The new LSCU website will engage the users in its core areas: governmental affairs, education, cooperative initiatives and communications. New to the website will be a communication blog with news, long-form articles, and stories posted from credit unions, lawmakers and regulators. Social media will have a greater presence on the new website with a Twitter feed on the homepage, as well as links to the league’s various social media channels.
“Today’s web user is looking at your website on a number of different devices throughout the day,” said LSCU President/CEO Patrick La Pine. “Your website has to reflect the user’s needs. This newly redesigned website has a heavy emphasis on latest news, resources available, and the ability to share through social channels. Plus, it makes it much easier to engage with the LSCU on advocacy efforts.”
The website for LEVERAGE, LSCU’s subsidiary, has been redesigned to help credit unions search based on specific needs rather than products. LEVERAGE helps credit unions reduce expenses, streamline operations, increase non-interest income, improve regulatory compliance and increase loan growth, so the website now reflects the solutions LEVERAGE offers.
Business partners are also displayed more prominently on the website, with LEVERAGE and business partner-specific events highlighted.
