CU Direct recognizes CU best practices

LAS VEGAS (5/27/15)--CU Direct, a provider of lending, automotive and strategic solutions to credit unions, announced the winners of its 2015 Best Practices Awards during the company’s annual Drive ’15 Lending and Marketing conference, held last week in Las Vegas.

Best practice honorees by category included:

  • Business development: Alliance CU, San Jose, Calif.;
  • Portfolio management: Jax FCU, Jacksonville, Fla.; and
  • Marketing to members: Centris FCU, Omaha, Neb.;

CU Direct also recognized Summit CU, Madison, Wis., and Security Service FCU, San Antonio, with the CU Direct Diamond Award for their continued success in advancing their lending programs and championing the importance of a credit union-owned delivery channel.

CU Direct also announced the results of its board elections. CU Direct’s shareholders re-elected Donna Bland, president/CEO, Golden 1 CU, Sacramento, Calif.; Sterling Nielsen, president/CEO, Mountain America CU, West Jordan, Utah; and Brett Martinez, president/CEO, Redwood CU, Santa Rosa, Calif., to new three-year board terms.

CU Direct’s board of directors elected Jeff March, president/CEO, Citadel FCU, Philadelphia, as the company’s new chair. The company’s board of directors also elected Nader Moghaddam, president/CEO, Financial Partners CU, Downey, Calif., as vice chair, and Keith Sultemeier, president/CEO, Kinecta FCU, Manhattan Beach, Calif., as secretary/treasurer.

Also serving on CU Direct’s board of directors are Jim Laffoon, president/CEO, Security Service FCU, San Antonio; Benson Porter, president/CEO, BECU, Tukwila, Wash.; and Chuck Purvis, president/CEO, Coastal FCU, Raleigh, N.C.
