Jeanne D’Arc CU donates $50,000 to CU Museum

June 22, 2015

LOWELL, Mass. (6/22/15)--Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union announced Friday it will donate $50,000 to America’s Credit Union Museum based in Manchester, N.H., the birthplace of American credit unions.

In announcing the donation, Mark S. Cochran, Jeanne D’Arc CU president/CEO, cited the importance of the credit union movement to the nation’s history and future.

“We have an important and ongoing story to share with the world and, particularly, with those who can benefit from our philosophy and mission,” Cochran said. “As not-for-profit cooperative financial institutions, credit unions continue to have a unique and essential role in making the American dream attainable.”

Said Michael L’Ecuyer, board chair of America’s Credit Union Museum: “We are grateful to Jeanne D’Arc CU for their support and commitment to the America’s Credit Union Museum Legacy Campaign. Their support will help the museum continue to share the stories of how credit unions have helped millions of Americans achieve a more secure financial future.”
