ALEXANDRIA, Va. (7/13/15)--Trailblazer FCU of Washington, Pa. is the fourth federally insured credit union of 2015 to be liquidated, the National Credit Union Administration announced Friday.
According to the agency, the decision to liquidate was made after determining the credit union was insolvent and had no prospect for restoring viable operations.
Chrome FCU, of Washington, Pa., immediately assumed Trailblazer’s members and deposits. Chrome FCU serves 11,120 members and has assets of $131.5 million, according to its most recent call report.
At the time of liquidation, Trailblazer FCU served 1,535 members and had assets of $4.1 million, according to the credit union’s most recent call report. It was chartered in 1956 and served the employees of Pennsylvania’s Washington County and their immediate family members.
