LIVONIA, Mich. (7/16/15)--Credit unions are about to share $105,000 worth of love through a video contest that will also help increase the number of random acts of kindness credit unions perform nationwide.
Through the ‘’Share the Love” video contest, organized by CU Solutions Group and CUNA, credit unions will create 60- to 90-second videos capturing the work they do for their communities, and then upload them to the contest’s website.
Videos can be uploaded beginning Aug. 1.
On Oct. 1, the public will be invited to vote on the videos, which will be broken into three categories based on credit union asset size. A winner will be picked from each category every month between October through December and will receive $10,000 for any charity of their choice.
Further, the credit union with the most votes at the end of the campaign will receive an additional $15,000 for their chosen charity, meaning a total of $105,000 will be donated by the end of the campaign.
