DENVER (7/16/15)--Anyone in attendance at the “Future of Payments” breakout session Tuesday at the combined America’s Credit Union Conference and World Credit Union Conference in Denver may have a leg-up when it comes to knowing what’s next in the payments industry.
Attendees heard from three speakers, who addressed future developments in the industry; how to offer innovative mobile content, products, and services; and how to provide an equitable level of service through all channels.
Ben Morales, Q-Cash Financial CEO and chief technology officer at WSECU, Olympia, Wash., gave a presentation that surmised, essentially, that “the future of payments is mobile, and the most invisible wallet wins.”
The mobile wallets that win, he said, will do to commerce what Netflix has done to movie rentals: They will make payments feel “invisible.”
