SALT LAKE CITY (8/11/15)--Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) will hold the Shop for Miracles national campaign--a one-day fundraiser--on Oct. 15, which is International Credit Union Day.
Each time credit union members use their credit union-issued debit or credit card participating credit unions will donate $0.25 or other designated amounts to a local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital.
“Coming off the success of last year’s campaign, where 108 credit unions raised $450,000, we are hoping to double both our participation and fundraising numbers which would make Shop for Miracles our most successful CU4Kids national campaign to date,” Joe Dearborn, CMN Hospitals senior director, told News Now.
“The fundraising dollars are critical to enhancing the care we can provide the kids being treated at our local CMN Hospitals while at the same time participating credit unions are presented with a wonderful opportunity to market both their debit and credit cards to members and consumers at large,” Dearborn added.
Credit unions can register online. Marketing collateral and other resources to help credit unions promote the campaign to members are also available. CU4Kids is offering tools such as a logo, donation reporting form and a toolkit that credit unions can download.
Credit unions also can participate on a corporate level.
Shop for Miracles is eligible for a CO-OP Miracle Match.
Since 1996, CU4Kids has generated more than $130 million for CMN Hospitals.
