LIVONIA, Mich. (8/11/15)--A new feature in the Michigan Credit Union League’s (MCUL) newsletter, Monitor, features the community involvement efforts of the league’s member credit unions.
"Most people who work in the credit union industry live for the opportunity to change a life and strengthen their community,” the league said in announcing the feature. “Each credit union and credit union employee leaves its own unique imprint. We are so moved by the work you do that we are unveiling a new weekly feature.”
MCUL said the goal of the new feature is to foster the bond among Michigan credit unions while providing a place to share feel-good moments among its memberships. “We hope it becomes an inspiration warehouse,” the league said.
The first credit union featured was Central Macomb Community CU, which presented a member with a $1,000 check through Save to Win, Michigan’s prize-linked savings program.
