WASHINGTON (8/19/15)--The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has released a new resource on its Truth in Lending Act-Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act integrated disclosures (TRID) rule. The new guide is aimed at real estate professionals, and focuses on how their clients’ homebuying experience will be different under the TRID rule, with the goal of ensuring “smooth and on-time closings.” TRID is scheduled to become effective Oct. 3...

DALLAS (8/19/15)--Robert Steven Kaplan has been named president/CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, effective Sept. 8. In this role, Kaplan will also represent the 11th Fed District on the Federal Open Market Committee. The district encompasses Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico. Kaplan, 58, is the Martin Marshall Professor of Management Practice and a Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School. He is also co-chairman of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a global venture philanthropy firm...

 WASHINGTON (8/19/15)--Federal Trade Commission Commissioner Joshua Wright will resign his position, the agency announced this week. His last day will be Aug. 24. Wright, who was appointed by President Barack Obama and serves as a Republican, will return to George Mason University as a professor of law.
