ANN ARBOR, Mich. (8/21/15)--Come to work hungry on Oct. 13, because once again this year credit unions will be heading out into the community to support local restaurants for the #CULunchLocal event.
Otherwise known as a cash mob, the event, organized by Michigan-based consulting firm in-Fusion Group, encourages the staffs of credit unions and credit union organizations to eat out at local restaurants to give small boosts to the local economy.
The event, which was launched by Michigan Business Connection in 2012, will take place during the same week as International Credit Union Day, which falls on Oct. 15.
“Every dollar spent makes a difference when it goes to local business; and participating is as simple as stopping at a locally owned business for your morning cup of coffee, or ordering lunch in from your locally owned deli,” in-Fusion said in a press release.
