ATLANTA (10/7/15)--For the third year in a row, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates (GCUA) has been named one of Georgia’s top trade associations. GCUA Senior Advocacy Officer Brandee Bickle has been named one of the state’s top female lobbyists for the second consecutive year.
They were listed in the top groups in James Magazine’s September/October Lobbyist issue.
“We know it is critical that credit unions have strong advocates who can express our mission to legislators,” said Georgia Credit Union League Board Chair Barry Heape, CEO of DODO CU, Albany, Ga. “The members of our advocacy team strive to protect our operating environment and articulate our values--and our value--to decision makers. They are excellent representatives of credit unions,” he added.
James Magazine, a political and news magazine published by Insider Advantage, has produced its top lobbyists and associations lists for 12 years. The lists are based on online voting by readers and feedback from political insiders to finalize the rankings.
“It’s gratifying to see our advocacy team recognized for the way they represent Georgia’s credit unions at the State House,” said Diana Houston, senior vice president of business development at GCUA. “Brandee Bickle sets the tone for our lobbying efforts through her integrity, the relationships she’s built with legislators, and her steadfast commitment to serving credit unions.”
