TREVOSE, Pa. (10/8/15)--TruMark Financial CU’s Fifth Annual Kiss-a-Pig Financial Literacy Fundraiser raised $55,000 for grants to 11 area schools, said the Trevose, Pa.-based credit union. Schools will receive grants for textbooks, workbooks and other resources to teach the fundamentals of saving, borrowing and investing. Participants in the Sept. 30 event, which featured a pot-bellied pig named Raines, included 27 business and community leaders, teachers and local celebrities. The youngest participant, Aidan O’Halloran, 9, a fourth grade student at Richboro (Pa.) Elementary School, raised more than $3,000. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (10/8/15)--Derrick Ragland will succeed Merrill Mann as president/CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based APCO Employees CU, effective Jan. 1.  Mann will retire Dec. 31, the board of directors announced. He will engage with credit unions and lead marketplace testing of new programs in the financial services realm of the non-profit think tank’s Beta (Impact) Lab.
