Friday deadline for national foundation board submissions

October 27, 2015

MADISON, Wis. (10/27/15)--Nominations are due Friday for three National Credit Union Foundation board seats.

Volunteers can serve up to three three-year terms on the board, so long as they are re-nominated by the Nominations Committee and re-elected by the foundation board.

The openings are:

  • Seat 6--Credit union executive or director, which must be filled be an executive officer or director of a credit union. The seat is currently vacant;
     
  • Seat 12--System affiliate. The candidate must be and remain a director or executive officer of a national-in-scope organization whose primary purpose is to support credit unions or another element of the movement, that has a significant portion of its ownership or membership from the credit union system and that has demonstrated a commitment to the purposes of the corporation; and
     
  • Seat 15--Credit union executive or director or system affiliate or at-large.

Seat 6 is currently vacant. Seat 12 is held by Stan Hollen, president/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., who is completing his second three-year term on the board. Seat 15 is held by Teresa Halleck, president/CEO of San Diego County CU, San Diego, who is completing a partial term. 

Hollen and Halleck have indicated interest in serving another term.
