MADISON, Wis. (10/29/15)--Accolades for outstanding training programs at credit unions were given Tuesday at CUNA’s Experience Learning Live! (ELLy) award celebration in Las Vegas.
“The CUNA ELLy awards are a great opportunity to honor exemplary trainers and recognize the pivotal role that training plays in a credit union’s success,” said Courtney Cantwell, CUNA instructional design manager. “These credit unions demonstrate how quality training develops talent, grows skills and creates better, more capable credit union professionals.”
The WOW Award for best overall training program went to Red Canoe CU, Longview, Wash. Merit winners in the WOW category were Warren FCU, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Pacific Marine CU, Oceanside, Calif.
TruWest CU, Tempe, Ariz., was named the Training Champion Award winner, with Pacific Marine CU earning the merit winner honor.
Cale Yates, sales trainer, SAFE CU, Sumter, S.C., received the Training Professional of the Year Award.
Awards for eLearning went to winner Randolph-Brooks FCU, Live Oak, Texas, and merit winner, Mission FCU, San Diego.
Fox Communities CU, Appleton, Wis., won best production design.
A committee of industry training experts determine the winners based on the vision, implementation and impact of the training programs.
Next year’s CUNA Experience Learning Live! will be held Oct. 23-26 in Nashville, Tenn. Applications for the advisory committee are due Jan. 8. For more information, visit training.cuna.org/ell.
