SAN DIEGO (11/6/15)--Biz Kid$ has been named the beneficiary of the 2015 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, which means $1 from each ticket sold for this year’s game will be donated to help teach kids in San Diego about money and business.
San Diego County CU (SDCCU) is partnering with the San Diego County Office of Education and the County of San Diego in support of Live Well San Diego to give teachers the opportunity to win the complete SDCCU Biz Kid$ program.
The money generated as a result of tickets sold for the 2015 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl will go towards providing additional sets of the SDCCU Biz Kid$ Program to teachers in San Diego County.
“SDCCU is proud that Biz Kid$ is the beneficiary of the 2015 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl,” said Teresa Halleck, SDDCU president/CEO. “Each ticket sold for this year’s game has the potential to benefit thousands of students in our community, and the San Diego region, for years into the future.
“As San Diego’s largest locally owned financial institution, and a Live Well San Diego partner, SDCCU is committed to encouraging and maintaining good financial health among individuals in our communities, which is essential to fostering a healthy and thriving economy.”
Launched in 2008 in partnership with the National Credit Union Foundation, Biz Kid$ is an award-winning comprehensive financial literacy program focused on teaching kids how to use credit wisely and the importance of saving, budgeting, investing and giving back to their communities.
Kickoff for the 2015 game is at 1:30 p.m. (PT) Dec. 23 at QualcommStadium in San Diego.
