MADISON, Wis. (11/13/15)--Mark Wilburn, senior vice president/chief lending officer, Truity CU, was honored with the 2015 Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award from the CUNA Lending Council during its recent conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
“At every step of his accomplished career, Mark has brought vision and leadership to the field of credit union lending,” said Joe Brancucci, president/CEO, GTE Financial CU, Tampa, Fla., and past recipient. “Through his tireless efforts to provide quality loans to credit union members, Mark has embodied the spirit of the Phil Greer Award in every way imaginable.”
In addition to his work at the Bartlesville, Okla.-based credit union, Wilburn worked at State Capitol FCU (now Affinity Plus FCU), St. Paul, Minn., and Point Loma CU, San Diego. He currently serves as chair of the American Credit Union Mortgage Association and a member of the CUNA Member Housing Reform Task Force. He also served a term as vice chair of the Credit Union Housing Roundtable.
Wilburn served on the CUNA Lending Council executive committee from 1996 to 2006, including two years as chair.
The Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals who exemplify the same leadership, passion and commitment brought to the field of credit union lending. Greer was senior vice president of loan administration for State Employees’ FCU, Raleigh, N.C., and an active, longtime member of CUNA Lending Council.
