CUNA’s two new programs specific to the vendor marketplace--CUNA CORE and CUNA Service Provider Community-- were the focus of a recent edition of CUbroadcast.
Julie Esser, vice president of alliance development with CUNA Strategic Services, detailed the unique challenges third-party service providers face when entering the credit union marketplace.
CUNA CORE, a two-day program scheduled for May 24-26 in Madison, Wis., will provide vendors a chance to learn everything “from the acronyms to the players to the issues facing credit unions” in the legislative, regulatory and economic environment, Esser told CUbroadcast’s Mike Lawson.
Esser also introduced the CUNA Compliance Community, CUNA Councils Community and CUNA Service Provider Community--three new online resources for credit unions and vendors to network, share ideas and collaborate.
“Our ultimate goal with both of these programs is to create a broader pool of quality service providers that reach this marketplace,” Esser said.
