MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (11/17/15)--The Cooperative Credit Union Association’s (CCUA) “Better Values. Better Banking.” campaign launched a new phase this week by selecting a number of local businesses through which to promote the credit union difference.
The campaign aims to educate consumers about credit unions and how their values can vastly enhance the financial services experience. CCUA serves credit unions in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
“Each outing gives us a unique opportunity to engage consumers, listen to their stories, and tell them about the values that make credit unions what they are; while also encouraging them to visit our website BetterValuesBetterBanking.com to find and join a credit union in their own neighborhood,” said Walt Laskos, CCUA senior vice president of strategic communications. “We’re just getting started in building the list of places we plan to visit throughout our region.”
For these outings, credit union representatives will pay for cups of coffee, movie tickets or car washes for unsuspecting consumers. They also will hand out $5 gift cards that consumers can use to pay it forward.
The first venues on the list include The Sandwich Company, Marlborough, Mass.; King Triton Car Wash, Wilmington, Mass.; Coolidge Corner Theater, Brookline, Mass.; and Green Hills Bakery, Dorchester, Mass.
