MADISON, Wis. (11/18/15)--To celebrate Giving Tuesday, a global day to give back, the National Credit Union Foundation will host a Twitter chat to share and discuss examples of credit union charitable and giving activities.
Giving Tuesday falls on Dec. 1, and the Twitter chat will kick off at 3 p.m. (CT). Credit unions and staff members are encouraged to share best practices or examples of their philanthropy, donation policies, scholarships, special holiday programs, and communications related to community giving.
1st Financial FCU, Wentzville, Mo., will be the featured guest of the chat.
“Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to giving back,” said Christopher Morris, foundation director of communications. “Credit unions everywhere are incredibly generous to further the financial well-being of their communities, which also aligns with our work at the foundation. We’re pleased to facilitate this discussion around such an important and timely topic.”
Those interested can participate in the live streaming conversation by signing into Twitter and searching for the hashtag #foundationchat at the posted time of the event.
Participants also can follow @NCUFoundation to track the conversation. Questions and answers will be tweeted using the Q1, Q2, A1, A2 format.
