MADISON, Wis. (12/14/15)--Summit CU, Madison, Wis., received the Outstanding Business Award from the Greater Madison Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals last week. The award, which the credit union picked up for its idea to start a credit union for at-risk children, helps celebrate National Philanthropy Day. In response to earning the award, Summit President/CEO Kim Sponem spoke about the credit union’s dedication to youth financial literacy, and thanked the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County for the nomination …

IRVINE, Calif. (12/14/15)--Nearly two-dozen credit unions and credit union service organizations took part in this year’s CHOC Walk in the Park in October, which raises money for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s). This marked the third year credit unions from throughout southern California participated as the “Credit Unions for CHOC Team.” More than 1,200 individuals from the credit unions walked in the event, raising more than $130,000 with an additional $10,000 match from CO-OP Financial Services.
