ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (12/16/15)--Eight teams recently participated in the Credit Union Magic Minute, a 60-second shopping spree sponsored by PSCU.
Shoppers ran through a huge warehouse full of high-end merchandise, grabbing as much as their cart could handle. Eight teams made an all-expenses-paid trip to Chicago for the event. Each team loaded up with more than $5,000 worth of items, including MacBook Airs, TVs, game systems, cookware, Go-Pros and iPad Minis. For the first time, a team from the credit union who secured the most program participants ran the dash to benefit a local nonprofit organization.
“PSCU’s Total Member Loyalty rewards program is built with credit unions and their members in mind,” said Annie Cox, PSCU director of credit union growth solutions. “Credit Union Magic Minute is one way we use our rewards program to engage members and build relationships through a unique, exciting, interactive event.”
Magic Minute was open to all PSCU member-owner credit unions that were enrolled in the company’s CURewards loyalty programs.
To enter the sweepstakes, members of enrolled credit unions registered their contact information on PSCU’s CURewards website and used their credit or debit cards for at least three weekly purchases between August and October.
Winners for the Credit Union Magic Minute were selected in random drawings and consisted of credit union members from:
PSCU also awarded two employees from the credit union with the highest sweepstakes participation with a position at the Magic Minute starting line. Dashers from American Airlines CU in Fort Worth, Texas, selected SafeHaven of Tarrant County, Texas, as the recipient of their shopping haul. The organization aims to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.
