Book: “Thinking Fast and Slow,” by Daniel Kahneman.
Why? “This book explains the different levels on which our brains operate. It’s fascinating how we’re wired to process information and make decisions, and how our wetware isn’t always ideally suited to making the right conclusions.
“Working in a data-driven role, I think it’s essential to have an awareness of all of the cognitive errors, biases, and irrationality that we’re all prone to by nature.”
Book: “Earn the Right to Win: How Success in Any Field Starts with Superior Preparation,” by Tom Coughlin, former coach of the New York Giants.
Why? “This is just as much of a business book as a football book. Coughlin walks us through the rigorous and structured approach he created to build his championship teams.
