WASHINGTON (1/11/16, UPDATED 6:10 p.m. ET)--President Barack Obama announced his intention Monday to nominate National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) board member J. Mark McWatters to a position on the Export-Import Bank board of directors. McWatters has served on the NCUA board since August 2014.
The NCUA has said it will issue a statement soon.
Previously, McWatters served as the director of Graduate Programs and as an adjunct professor at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law from 2011 to 2014 and an adjunct professor at SMU’s Cox School of Business from 2009 to 2014.
From December 2009 to April 2011, McWatters was a member of the Troubled Asset Relief Program Congressional Oversight Panel. He also served as counsel to Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) in 2009.
