ALEXANDRIA, Va. (1/14/16)--Credit unions will have an opportunity to raise issues directly with National Credit Union Administration Chair Debbie Matz and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray on Feb. 9.
The agencies announced their fifth annual joint webinar Wednesday. It will start at 3 p.m. (ET).
Matz reminded that participants may ask questions about any topics related to CFPB or NCUA and hear the questions answered in real time. "Anyone who is interested in consumer regulations or the credit union system is invited to join us,” Matz said in the announcement.
Previous years' webinars have featured discussions of the CFPB's qualified mortgage rule, data collection and security, risk-based capital proposals, payday lending regulations, mortgage servicing, regulatory modernization and more.
The session will be free, and an online registration page will be available soon. Once registered, participants will be able to submit questions to WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. The subject line of the email should read, “NCUA-CFPB Town Hall.”
