TruStone Financial joins ranks of Minn., Wis. leagues

January 19, 2016

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (1/19/16)--The Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) and the Wisconsin Credit Union League recently welcomed a new affiliate credit union--TruStone Financial FCU, Plymouth, Minn.

The credit union, which is Minnesota’s third-largest credit union, has branch locations in both states.

“The knowledge both given and gained through this partnership is invaluable,” said CEO Tim Bosiacki in a release.  “I look forward to cultivating a relationship that extends beyond the typical products and services to help advocate for credit unions.”

TruStone Financial will work with the Minnesota and Wisconsin leagues to advance legislative advocacy on the state and federal levels, support international credit union development and strengthen relationships with credit unions throughout their respective states.

Bosiacki also said the relationships allow the credit union to take advantage of educational opportunities, governmental affairs, compliance resources and networking occasions on all employee levels.

“As nationwide credit union membership tops 100 million consumers, it’s important for credit unions to work together. The relationships with the Minnesota Credit Union Network and Wisconsin Credit Union League will reinforce the people helping people philosophy with our members and those across the globe,” said Tom Alagna, TruStone Financial board chair.

“Our mission is to ensure the success, growth and vitality of all credit unions across the state,” said Mark Cummins, MnCUN president/CEO. “TruStone Financial’s engagement will enhance our ability to advocate for credit unions and their members.”

Added Wisconsin league President/CEO Brett Thompson:  “As an industry, we are stronger together, so we welcome TruStone Financial in growing our collective impact serving 2.7 million credit union members in the state.”
