ALEXANDRIA, Va. (1/20/16)--National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) board member J. Mark McWatters continued his discussion of improving the examination process in this month’s The NCUA Report.
Last month, McWatters addressed what he believes are deficiencies in the process, and provided recommendations for actions.
“The agency should look to create a very transparent non-retaliatory process instead of doubling down to defend the current process,” McWatters wrote.
McWatters also suggested additional options for the agency to consider to enhance the examination process. Those include:
