MADISON, Wis. (1/20/16)--Credit union organizations can now apply for Biz Kid$ Financial Education grants from the National Credit Union Foundation.
The grants are awarded to organizations that would use the funding for innovative programs that incorporate Biz Kid$ to improve youth financial literacy. The projects can leverage partnerships with teachers, students, local PBS stations, or other community stakeholders who can help plan events, organize activities or circulate curriculum.
Applications for the grants, which will total up to $100,000 this year, are due March 31.
“We encourage credit unions to apply for a Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grant to improve youth financial literacy through the award-winning Biz Kid$ program,” said Danielle Brown, foundation director of development and donor relations. “This is the fourth year we are offering grants and thus far the results have been impactful and inspiring.
