WASHINGTON (3/14/16)--The Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) CompBlog, the go-to space for expertise on the latest and most pressing compliance issues, is now available to subscribers via email. Starting last week, CUNA members of the Compliance Community now receive emails that contain a rundown of the previous day’s CompBlog entries.
“CUNA’s Compliance Community belongs to the compliance professionals who use it every day, and it’s our job to ensure we continually improve the delivery methods to provide those resources,” said Jared Ihrig, CUNA’s chief compliance officer. “We’ve had direct, constant feedback from individuals who want to see CompBlog land directly in their inbox in its entirety, and we’ve listened.”
CompBlog is maintained by CUNA’s compliance staff, and features posts covering everything from regulatory updates from federal agencies to answers to common questions submitted to CUNA staff.
Just last week, entries covered: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) winter supervisory highlights report, the potential for changes in Regulation B, information on the CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council and information about CUNA’s upcoming compliance webinar series.
Ihrig said the email will be produced for roughly one month, then CUNA will seek feedback about its effectiveness.
Employees of CUNA-affiliated credit unions can register for the CUNA Compliance Community here.
In addition to CompBlog, CUNA’s Compliance Community features announcements, discussion boards with compliance professionals nationwide, shared files and compliance news.
