MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (3/29/16)--Two forerunners in retail and technology have been added to the lineup for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) America’s Credit Union Conference.
George Blankenship is a former executive of GAP Inc., Apple and Tesla Motors, and Charlene Li is founder/CEO of the technology research and consulting firm Altimeter Group.
“These are two veritable pioneers in their respective fields. George is the architect of revolutionary retail strategies, while Charlene has enabled companies to succeed in a complex era of unprecedented technological advances,” said Jim Nussle, president/CEO of CUNA. “America’s Credit Union Conference attendees will gain actionable, forward-thinking insights from both of these visionary leaders.”
Blankenship has more than 30 years of international strategy, retail and real estate experience. As the first-ever senior executive of real estate at Apple, Blankenship led the company’s initiatives on retail methodology, brand awareness and customer accessibility. His presentation, “The Customer Experience,” will outline consumer-focused strategies to sales and service.
A New York Times best-selling author, Li regularly advises companies on disruptive new technologies, interactive media, marketing and strategy. She is regarded as one of the foremost experts in social media. Her keynote address will draw from her most recent book, “The Engaged Leader: A Strategy for Your Digital Transformation,” which explores ways to remain an effective leader in an increasingly digital work world.
Blankenship and Li join Alex Sheen and Josh Linkner on the keynote lineup.
