CUNA now accepting training excellence nominations

April 12, 2016

MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (4/12/16)--The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is accepting entries for the 2016 CUNA Experience Learning Live! Training Awards, also known as the ELLy Awards.

A celebration of the top achievements in credit union training and professional development, the ELLy Awards will be presented at CUNA Experience Learning Live!, Oct. 23-26, in Nashville, Tenn.

“Because effective training is essential to a credit union’s viability, we believe it is important to recognize trainers that innovate, push the envelope and get results,” said Courtney Cantwell, CUNA instructional design manager. “Our judges look forward to reviewing this year’s applications and learning about the cutting edge-solutions credit unions are employing to ensure their staff’s growth and development.”

ELLy entries will be divided into two asset groups, less than and greater than $250 million, with five categories presented in each group. The 2016 categories include:

  • eLearning Award: For outstanding integration and use of technology-based training;
  • Training Champion Award: For an exceptional training management staff;
  • Training Professional of the Year Award: For an individual or department that demonstrates training excellence;
  • WOW Award: For the best overall training program or event; and
  • Best Production Design Award: For the best visual, functional and interactive design of educational materials.

Applications for the ELLy Awards are due July 15.
