CUNA offers CU volunteer certification in Oct.

April 13, 2016

The Credit Union National Association will hold CUNA Volunteer Certification School in Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 16-21.

Attendees will build knowledge of pertinent to credit union issues and have the opportunity to earn the Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) designation.

Sessions for CUNA Volunteer Certification School will be led by speakers with expertise in the credit union industry, including credit union attorney David Reed and TEAM Resources President Tim Harrington. Attendees will also have extensive networking opportunities throughout the event.

The school will prepare attendees to test for the CCUV designation by addressing:

  • Board duties, functions and governance;
  • CEO succession planning;
  • Financial trends and issues; and
  • Strategic planning.

The CCUV Update Program will also be held Oct. 16-19 in Charlotte. This program provides existing CCUV designees the opportunity to update and expand their knowledge of volunteer issues while recertifying their designations.

CUNA Volunteer Certification School is part of the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program, which administers the CCUV designation.
