CUNA is partnering with Ascensus to present three sessions of the Ascensus IRA University, an online blended learning program.
CUNA/Ascensus IRA Certification eSchool will teach the basic concepts and procedures that are a part of individual retirement account transactions.
Each of the three eSchools is comprised of six live weekly webinars. The first eSchool will be held until June 1. The following two sessions will be held from June 22 to July 27 and from Oct. 5 to Nov. 9.
“For many members, IRAs represent their future; they want to know that their accounts are being handled appropriately,” said Michelle Johnson, CUNA learning events instructional design manager. “This initiative will ensure credit union professionals are fully prepared to manage IRAs in an efficient, responsible and compliant fashion.”
CUNA/Ascensus IRA Certification eSchool combines interactive webinars with online modules and pre-work in between sessions. The program uses Ascensus’ IRA training content, covering benefits, contributions, distributions and portability. At the end of the program, participants are able to test for the Certified IRA Specialist I (CIS I) designation.
