With both chambers of Congress in Washington, D.C. this week before the Memorial Day recess, CUNA will be monitoring several markups and hearings.
On Wednesday, the House Appropriations subcommittee on financial services and general government will mark up its appropriations bill. That bill generally contains funding for the NCUA’s Community Development Revolving Loan Fund and the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund.

CUNA will also be monitoring the Tuesday House Committee on Natural Resources markup of the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Act (H.R. 5278). There are a number of credit unions in Puerto Rico that have been affected by the crisis there.
