The CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP), a portfolio of self-study courses for credit union volunteers, has made its entire catalog available through CUNA Professional Development Online (CPD), a web-based training service.
“The partnership makes sense both philosophically and as a business decision,” said Michelle Johnson, CUNA instructional design manager. “CPD Online will increase the value of its offering to subscribers, and an all-new audience of credit union professionals will be able to experience the high-impact training offered by VAP courses, which are a perfect fit for this service.”
CUNA VAP’s expert-vetted, quick-read courses allow volunteers to develop working knowledge of specific issues important to their role. Topics addressed in VAP include credit union fundamentals, oversight, asset-liability management, marketing, and compliance.
Each course includes an exam for an additional fee. Upon completing the courses, participants can earn credits towards the Certified Credit Union Volunteer designation, offered through the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program.
In CPD Online, users gain access to a fully featured, award-winning learning management system with options to customize the training experience, as well as an extensive library of credit union-specific courses.
All CUNA VAP courses will now be included free for current CPD Online users.
