“Because lending is one of the pillars of the credit union movement, we find it necessary to recognize individuals who innovate and reach new heights of achievement in the field,” said Jason Osterhage, chair of the CUNA Lending Council and senior vice president of lending at Alliant CU, Chicago. “We can’t wait to pore over this year’s applications and learn about the outstanding work lending professionals are doing throughout the movement.”
The Rising Star Award honors a promising individual in the field of credit union lending. Nominees are judged based on their contributions to their credit union, the impact of those contributions, the consistency of their track record and their potential for future impact. Nominations for this award are due Aug. 31.
The winner of the Rising Star Award will receive a profile in Credit Union Magazine, free registration to the 2017 CUNA Lending Council Conference, and the opportunity to present the award to next year’s recipient.
The Excellence in Lending Awards honor outstanding work by credit unions in four lending areas: business lending, consumer lending, mortgage lending, and low and modest means lending. Applicants’ entries are judged in three key areas: performance, strategy and their program itself. Submissions are due Sept. 12.
Winners of the Excellence in Lending Awards will receive free registration, travel and lodging to this year’s conference and coverage in CUNA publications.
