Tech, OpSS councils to hold CU4Kids benefit raffle

June 30, 2016

CUNA Technology Council and CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council have announced that their annual conferences, Sept. 28-Oct.1 in Las Vegas, will include a charity raffle for Credit Unions for Kids, the fundraising vehicle for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that funds children’s healthcare, medical research, training, and equipment purchases.

“Anytime we can turn one of our events into an opportunity to help the community, we seize upon it,” said Michelle Grabicki, CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council conference chair, and vice president of corporate culture, Numerica CU, Spokane Valley, Wash. “Beyond the great prizes up for grabs, this fundraiser is a chance for credit union professionals to make a difference in the lives of Nevada children and to live up to the credit union principle of ‘People Helping People.’”

Upon arriving at the conferences, attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets (one for $5 or five for $20) and enter to win prizes including wireless headphones, wireless speaker, GoPro, $100 gift card, and more.

CO-OP Financial Services will match the final fundraising total up to $10,000. On the final day of the conferences, country music star Lindsay Ell will join attendees to reveal the final total and present a check to a local CMN Hospital.
