On Wednesday, CUNA will hold a free webinar that addresses the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) payday, small-dollar and vehicle title proposed rule.
The webinar is set for 2 p.m. (ET), and registration is required.
CUNA has a number of concerns with the CFPB’s proposal, which would add restrictions on payday, title, and high-cost installment loans that meet certain requirements. The proposal could affect credit union lending of all types, and could have a significant impact on operations as well, CUNA believes.

CUNA has already written a letter to the CFPB in advance of its formal comment letter, and asked the NCUA to consider the full impact of the CFPB proposal on credit unions' small-dollar lending programs.
Comments on the proposal are due to the CFPB by Sept. 14, and comments can be sent to CUNA by Aug. 31.
