Washington, DC (May 17, 2016) - The Credit Union National Association has been recognized by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) with a 2016 Gold Circle Award in the Membership Recruitment category for its campaign “Go All In with CUNA Councils.” The Gold Circle Awards competition recognizes excellence, innovation, and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership and communications programs in 11 categories.
“Our member credit unions really engaged with CUNA's Go All In with CUNA Councils campaign which truly drove the success of the program,” said Jim Nussle, President/CEO of Credit Union National Association. “As a national trade association, we're honored by ASAE's recognition of this effective program.”
“To be one of only ten national associations to be recognized with a Gold Circle Award from ASAE is a huge honor,” said David Rohn, Vice President of CUNA Councils. “The Go All In with CUNA Councils campaign was truly was a team effort - from passionate and dedicated member volunteers to creative and hard-working CUNA staff, it came together in a way that reflected the commitment and passion of everyone involved with the activity. With so many other national associations submitting their own outstanding work, it was especially rewarding to have our membership recruitment campaign considered the best of the best.”
“The recent Go All In with the CUNA Councils campaign exceeded Council Forum's expectations,” said Heather Moshier, CUNA Council Forum Chair and EVP of Information Technology at San Diego County Credit Union. “The campaign brought in 363 new Council members. In addition, 32 credit unions shared their #ALLInCouncils selfies on Twitter, and a $500 donation was made to The National Credit Union Foundation. Overall, the Council leadership is very pleased with the results of the campaign!”
Award winners will be recognized at a ceremony during ASAE's Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference held in Washington, DC on June 13 and 14.
