Madison, Wis. (May 13, 2015) – Credit Union National Association will continue its Extreme Leadership collaboration with Steve Farber at CUNA Leadership Institute, December 7-10, 2015 in San Diego.

“CUNA Leadership Institute focuses on the uniquely specific needs and challenges of the credit union leader,” says Marlo Foltz, CUNA vice president of blended learning. “Discovering their own values-based leadership style and entrepreneurial approach provides credit union leaders the knowledge and tools to guide their credit unions to increased innovation, preparedness and growth.”

“The Extreme Leadership Workshop was exceptional. I left with a refreshed outlook on credit union leadership,” says Julie Binversie, vice president of member relations at Premier Financial Credit Union. “In our credit union we are using what I have learned every day.”

CUNA Leadership Institute aims to guide attendees to rethink credit union leadership as they enhance their skillsets and develop tools to make a bigger impact at their institutions. By focusing on interactive scenario planning, self-assessment and skill development, attendees will explore best practices for leading based on their work style, credit union-specific leadership philosophies and the cooperative principles that drive the credit union movement.

The five components of this year’s institute include:

  • WorkPlace Big Five: The Style of Leadership
  • Extreme Leadership
  • The Credit Union Learning Map
  • Scenario Planning
  • Big Data

The institute includes an Extreme Leadership Workshop by Steve Farber and a six-month access to E-Scan online portal.
