Washington (April 22, 2015) – CUNA-supported legislation to enhance cybersecurity passed the House of Representatives today. H.R. 1560, the Protecting Cyber Networks Act, passed by a vote of 307 to 116.
“H.R. 1560 will help foster a more secure cyber infrastructure,” said Jim Nussle, President and CEO of CUNA. “CUNA is dedicated to protecting the sensitive information of credit union members, and a stronger cyber threat information sharing ecosystem helps ensure a stronger financial services industry.”
CUNA, in conjunction with other financial service trade organizations, sent a letter to House leadership yesterday urging passage of the of legislation.
