Wacom honored with CUNA Tech Council Best of Show

May 3, 2017

Wacom, a manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays, and digital interface solutions, was honored with the CUNA Technology Council’s Best of Show Award at the 2017 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC).

Presented to the CUNA GAC exhibitor with the most innovative product that has the greatest potential growth impact for credit unions, the prize was awarded to Wacom for its electronic signature solution.

“It’s an honor to receive this award, one which we hope will help more credit unions discover the value of electronic signatures,” said Stan Ueno, senior manager, marketing and inside sales, Americas for Wacom. “By taking a digital approach to signing, operations move faster and become more manageable, making it easier for credit unions to serve members’ needs.”

Designed to replicate the feel of pen and paper, Wacom’s display lets users sign, annotate, highlight or mark up documents. The solution integrates with core systems so that credit unions can capture and store signatures digitally, saving time, money and space consumed by paper signatures.

To be considered for the Best of Show Award, vendors had to exhibit their products in the CUNA GAC exhibit hall between Sunday, Feb. 27, and Tuesday, March 1. Products had to be compatible with all core processor systems and could be related to any credit union function.

The award was decided on by a panel of credit union technology leaders that included:

  • Lead judge: Mike Atkins, chief information officer, Bellco CU, Denver;
  • Chris Saneda, executive vice president, technology and innovation/chief information officer, Virginia CU, Richmond, Va.;
  • Guy Russo, chief information officer, CommunityAmerica CU, Kansas City, Mo.;
  • Heather Moshier, executive vice president, information technology, San Diego County CU;
  • George Rudolph, senior vice president, technology and operations, Alliant CU, Chicago; and
  • Heather Lally, vice president, operations, Alliant CU.
