Credit unions have until July 1 to submit nominations for the 2nd annual CUNA Compliance Awards, which will be presented at CUNA’s CUNA Regulatory Compliance Certification School in September. CUNA encourages credit union compliance professionals to nominate peers, themselves and/or their credit unions for the awards.
Two awards will be presented this year: the Compliance Champion award and the Compliance Impact award.
The Compliance Champion award is designed to recognize credit union compliance professionals who best demonstrate achievement and excellence in compliance management, including leadership and contribution to the industry.
Nominees must be from a CUNA-affiliated credit unions, must be a member of CUNA’s Compliance Community (with a completed profile and photo) and must hold CUNA’s Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation.
The Compliance Impact award is designed to give recognition and distinction to credit unions that demonstrate their compliance efforts had a direct impact on minimizing/eliminating reputational, financial or operational loss within the credit union and/or community.
Nominees must be a CUNA-affiliated credit union, the compliance event must have occurred within the previous 3 years, the credit union must have an employee in CUNA’s Compliance Community with a completed profile and photo and must have an employee who holds the CUCE designation
Both awards have three categories, based on asset size: less than $100 million, between $101 million and $500 million and greater than $500 million.
