CUNA and the National Credit Union Foundation are participating in the National Cooperative Business Association’s National Co-Op Festival, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, taking place on the National Mall in Washington D.C.
The event will highlight the impact that co-ops have on the economy and in communities.
CUNA and the Foundation’s tent for the event, branded America’s Credit Unions, will be located on 12th St NW and will focus on financial education.
Visitors to the America’s Credit Unions’ tent can learn about a financial simulation to track their finances through an interactive website, provided by Nerdwallet. Participants can answer 8 questions about how they spend and save--then see how they can improve their financial future. The simulation provides real-time results and suggestions about what to do next based upon answers to the questions.
CUNA and the Foundation will distribute T-shirts, money clips, the financial planning book Money Rules, money stress balls, water bottles, and 2017 International Credit Union Day flyers.
