Only the Senate is in session this week, and CUNA will be engaged with budget resolution discussions and a hearing on the Equifax data breach.
“We will be engaging in the Senate’s debate around the budget this week,” said Eli Joseph, CUNA deputy chief advocacy officer. “The budget is the precursor to reconciling with the House and producing a vehicle for tax reform.”
Many amendments will be considered on the floor in a “vote-a-rama,” and CUNA will monitor the process for any items that could affect credit unions.
On Tuesday, starting at 10 a.m. (ET), the Senate Banking Committee will conduct a hearing titled “Consumer Data Security and the Credit Bureaus.”
