Washington, D.C. (January 25, 2018) – Lauren Williams has been named media relations manager for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the nation’s largest and most influential trade association advocating on behalf of America’s 110 million credit union members. Williams comes to the organization with a strong background in brand communications at the corporate level.
“Lauren brings a unique skillset to the table that will help CUNA and credit unions further strengthen relationships with the media,” said Douglas Kiker, Chief Strategic Communications Officer. “National Journal recently found that CUNA represents the views of the credit union industry and speaks for our entire membership more effectively than any other association studied in Washington, and we look forward to having Lauren on board to further contribute to our association.”
Prior to joining CUNA, Williams worked for Los Angeles-based agency, PMK*BNC, as an Account Executive for several high-profile clients in a variety of industries, providing services including media relations, corporate communications, sports marketing and digital/social media integrations.
Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Advertising from the Pennsylvania State University.
