CUNA continues its advertising campaign to thank lawmakers and urge support for the bipartisan Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155) as the Senate begins its consideration of the regulatory relief bill aimed at helping small financial institutions on Main Street.
While CUNA, leagues and credit unions continue their call to action to support the bill, CUNA and the American Banker Association partnered on a print ad in support of S. 2155 that ran in The Hill Tuesday.
This is part of CUNA’s continuing grassroots support for the bill. In November 2017, CUNA launched digital ads in support of S. 2155 as part of its Campaign for Common-Sense Regulation. The ads were placed in states with cosponsors as well as select members of the Senate Banking Committee.
The following week, CUNA rolled out radio ads expressly thanking cosponsors in nearly a dozen states.
Digital, print, social media and radio ads—either thanking the cosponsors or urging support among potential-cosponsors—have run in 39 states since the effort began. The digital campaign has garnered more than 45 million impressions among voters and constituents.
CUNA launched the next phase of its grassroots support for the bill in January.
A number of third parties from across the political spectrum have expressed support for S.2155 including, Americans for Tax Reform, Competitive Enterprise Institute, Third Way and the American Consumer Institute.
